Kissed by the Moon is another retailer I am THRILLED to feature this month. This business has BOOMED and I hear nothing but good things about it. It gets high ratings over at the Cloth Diaper Retailer Database and there are always lots of fun deals going on, so it is worth checking out. Oh and did I mention that at the end of this post you will see ANOTHER great deal that Kissed by the Moon has set up JUST for you?
What is the story behind Kissed by the Moon?
I started my store after being involved with cloth diapering for four years- I just found that I had such a love for all things diaper/wool related and couldn’t imagine anything better than combining my love of people, fluff, and the internet (did I mention that I love the internet?). I wanted to create a store that would have products that I personally have used and love, ones that I used with my kids and were popular, as well as smaller wahm companies just starting to branch out. Supporting small family-owned businesses is one of the most important things for me.
The mission of Kissed by the Moon is to make cloth diapering fun and easy, as it’s meant to be!
What is your favorite product you sell?
My favorite product that I sell…that’s a difficult question because I carry products that I personally like or have heard great things about. Currently it’s got to be CJ’s Butter in a tub, as we use it for everything and I have yet to find something with so many scents that smells so great. I also love the Swaddlebees 2.0 all in one diapers, as they are quick to dry and the fit is amazing. Plus the prints are my son’s favorite (he always wants to wear the owl print). We are just starting to carry Peachy Green and I’m very excited about that.
What Advice Do You Have For Someone New to Cloth Diapering?
The biggest piece of advice I could give to anyone starting out is to take things little by little and to try not to get overwhelmed. Cloth diapering can be addicting, but it can also be scary if you try to attack it all at once. Step back, do some research little by little, ask for advice. I have yet to meet someone who cloth diapers that doesn’t enjoy talking about cloth (:
What Cool Things is Your Store Doing Right Now?
Our new special is the Mystery Fluff packages. We have five different packages ranging from $30-$100 for people to choose. The fun part with this (see, I told you cloth diapering was fun!) is that you can eagerly await your fluff mail even more than usual because you don’t know what you’re getting! We do listen to requests such as “pockets” or “prints”, but the bulk of it is still a mystery. With mystery fluff you will get a value that’s up to 25% more than what you ordered. For example, with a Baby Kisses package for $30, you will get between $30-$40 worth of items. The reviews have been great so far with this.
We are also excited that this month we’ll be able to order the new Bummis. I haven’t seen prints this cute in a long time.
Can You Give Us Padded Tush Stats Peeps a Little Extra Discount Love?
PADDED10 for 10% off (:
Tara is a doctorate student in Education and is writing her dissertation on a survey research studying writing programs in America. She began cloth diapering three years ago, when she felt that using disposable diapers was costing too much money. The problem was, a lot of the highly recommended diapers weren’t working for her baby. What she finally discovered was that her baby was skinny and a heavy wetter, and that diapers worked differently for those baby types. Because of her professional work with survey design and statistics, she designed Padded Tush Stats as a way to determine how different cloth diapers worked on different babies. What she found was astounding: the build of a baby had a huge impact on the functionality of different cloth diapers. Since then she has tested over 200 cloth diapering products and is happy to help link people with the right products for their babies.
